+ Summer School Holiday Workshops
With December/January school holidays fast approaching, you're probably wondering what you're going to do to keep the kids entertained?
If that's the case, then you should definitely be looking at booking one of Explore Nature Creative's Adelaide School Holiday Workshops.
All of their School holiday workshops are now available to book on the Explore Nature Creative website - and there's some great ones to choose from, including:
Eco-animal School Holiday Art Classes.
Butterflies & Botanicals – Adult & child watercolour basics class.
Pokemon & Leaf Print Making School Holiday Art Class.
Mandala Drawing & Acrylic Sand Painting Workshop.
Christmas Native Wreath Making Workshop
For the adults (+ children over 7 with an adult) – On the 16th & 17th Dec, Explore Nature Creative is holding a Christmas Wreath Making Workshop.
Take a moment out for yourself and enjoy the benefits of reconnecting to nature as you create your own Native Christmas Wreath.
Children over 7 are welcome to accompany their adults, as there is some skill involved in using old-age weaving techniques.
Such a beautiful way to welcome in Christmas.
About Explore Nature Creative
Kids After School Arts & Crafts Club | School Holiday Art Workshops | Adult Art Classes
Explore Nature Creative is perfect for children, teens and adults who love art, being creative, and enjoy nature.
My girls have recently been attending Explore Nature Creative's After School Kids Arts & Crafts Club, and they ABSOLUTELY love it!
Being on Friday's after school, it's also such a great way for the kids to unwind, release any stress from the week and to start the weekend relaxed.
We love how each week there is a different activity, allowing the kids to explore new art techniques, as well as getting out and exploring in/creating with nature.
So far this term, the kids have created:
Nature paints, fairy wings, masks & crowns, using found feathers, sticks, leaves and flowers.
Posca paint leaf design book marks & graphic ink pattern paintings.
Air Dry Clay Mobiles.
Puppy Clay Pots.
Halloween silhouette painting, spider web weaving, masking tape mummies, and creating creepy critters from sensory playdoh to make their own stop-motion movie.
Bird watching & using watercolours to paint their own Honeyeater.
Ephemeral art creations from nature.
And this week they’re looking forward to an ocean diorama art class!
Explore Nature Creative offers a range of Inspired Art Classes and Art Wellbeing Workshops and parties
No prior experience is necessary for any of the adult, teen or children's classes. You’re there to learn and apply new skills and techniques, while enjoying the fun and relaxing benefits of art-making.
The kid’s art classes and workshops are designed to reconnect your child to nature, encouraging children to be present and engage with the natural world around them. They explore the magical creek garden through outdoor exploration, find inspiration, and then use imagination to create eco-art that celebrates self-expression.
Apart from School Holiday Workshops & the Kids After School Arts & Crafts Club, Explore Nature Creative also offers:
Nature-inspired creative arts and crafts classes for kids 5-12.
Beginners/intermediate art classes for kids, teens and adults.
Adult & Teen Art Club (was fully booked in 2021 – register now for 2022).
Wellness workshops focused on health, well-being and environmental sustainability.
Art Therapy (Arts Psychotherapy) Coming soon in 2022.
Adult paint & sip watercolour art classes.
Children’s Birthday Parties.
There's also an awesome Ninja Play set up, which all the kids love!
Tanya, who runs the classes, is excellent with kids. She just has that amazing soothing voice, is so kind and really helps the kids to relax. She encourages getting out in to nature to get their imaginations and creativity flowing. Then the kids create works of art that they are just so proud of.
My girls honestly look forward to their Friday art classes so much, and always have a great time when they’re there.
Tanya is a visual artist and qualified trainer with experience in naturopathy, aromatherapy and event management. She’s currently also an Arts Psychotherapy student (graduating this December 2021!).
Explore Nature Creative is located in Glenalta (near Belair National Park), and we highly recommend trying their art classes or workshops. You and/or your kids will love it!
